TM 8371: Akkuladung begrenzen

Hallo Leute!
Ich habe vor kurzer Zeit auf einem Sony Vaio eine interessante Einstellungsmöglichkeit gefunden: Mann konnte dort die Akkuladung begrenzen(auf 80%), d.h. der Akku wurde nur bis 80% geladen. Nach kurzer Rechere was dass denn soll habe ich herrausgefunden, dass Li-Ion Akkus sehr dankbar sind, wenn sie die letzten 10% nicht geladen werden. Seit zwei Tagen nun bin ich stolzer besitzer eines 8371G und frage mich, ob es denn auch für Acer(bzw. Win allg.) sollch eine Einstellung gibt, konnte hierzu bisher keinerlei Infos finden.

ich denke, da gibt es keine Möglichkeit bei diesem Gerät. Zumindest keine, die von Acer selbst vorgesehen ist. Ich kenne die Vaios auch und finde übrigens nicht, dass deren Akkus länger halten.

Die Battery Care Function erfordert ein angepasstes EC-BIOS. Ich bin sicher, dass bald alle diese oder eine ähnliche Funktion haben werden.

In order to increase battery life span, the charging of a rechargeable battery is selectively suspended prior to a fully charged state depending upon the current status of the predetermined variable conditions.
