Hab ich von hier: RevoUser.com • View topic - New Bios for R3610
@bamzero a R3600(acer)/N3600(pBell) upgrade to A4 from R1600/R3610 is POSSIBLE. I just did it. As baselines changed from r3600 revo (8C8A1xxx) to r1600/r3610 (963A1xxx), you must add /x switch to AFUDOS dos command : AFUDOS 963A1P06.ROM /p /b /c /x Then, you must rebuild CMOS checksum on the first reboot by entering setup (as asked) and save&exit. Note that you can save your rom image (including MAC adr, DMI info & logo as S/N.., and HDCP key) to be usefull as recovery flash input : AFUDOS myBIOS.CUR /O (myBIOS.CUR is the filename where your current bios will be saved). So you can perform later any flash recovery if you misflashed something (expecting bootblock is still correct), by renaming myBIOS.CUR to AMIBOOT.ROM at the root of a FAT USB dongle. Reboot with that dongle inside (no need for bootable) and with "CTRL" + "home" holding 10sec until a second boot take place and running the AMI recovering process. As NVRAM could be erased, need to reflash your private myBIOS.CUR (also named AMIBOOT.ROM) in a dos AFUDOS session with /p /b /c standard parameters. PS: for a downgrade process between bioses baselines, just do : AFUDOS downgrade.ROM /p /x AFUDOS will complain for /B and /C (or others) parameters needed and ask correcting or force previous reply yes ("A" choice meaning yes, ie in fly adding these parameters) then again, when reboot is done, enter setup and save & exit for the cmos cheksum diag. If /b and /c parameters are put in command, AFUDOS will abort (hopely before flashing) so keep things as described ! Hope S3 wake up on LAN to be operationnal now ! Enjoy modding bios modules...
