Beitrag: <blockquote data-quote="scorpion2001" data-source="post: 196275" data-attributes="member: 26439">AW: Acer 8935: BIOS Flash unter Ubuntu/Windows?last night's update:i manage to trick the BIOS to accept the 2 versions it didn't like: 3110 and 3109. if you want to do a DOS update for this laptop, don't even bother. at least to me it didn't work not even with the Phoenix Phlahs16 or Phlash1614 (newer version).everything was done with great effort under windows 7. so now, i've install the 3109 version which actually is the 3107 version. so i have the original version again. still my problem is by far over. the POST screen is still not on the display, and the windows loading screen are not displayed on the laptop's display. on external display everything is working just fine. this leads me to believe still something is wrong with the BIOS. maybe something "WE" the users do not know. am i open to suggestions ...today's update:i have phone Acer Support and also an Acer partner.the Acer Support has told me the laptop is brand new to them so i have to do a trip to them ( which to tell you the truth i don't want to ). they've also ask me to explain my problem to them by e-mail. will wait an answer from them.as for the Acer Partner, the same thing: take the laptop to their Service and will have to stay in line for 2-6 weeks. the diagnostic of the laptop will take about 2-3 days and since there's a BIOS problem the hole thing will take a week as they said.still, i need the laptop almost every day for my work ... it's going to be damn hard. also the international guarantee doesn't work with the Acer Partner.</blockquote>
